New Myspace Blog: Beautiful Day

LeAnn posted this message on her myspace today:

It is sunny and gorgeous where we are today in Somerset, WI. We are playing a show at a big festival tonight. We are about to head to the gym and then to the spa for a little pampering. My schedule hasn't allowed much time for that lately! Wherever you are in the world today, I hope you all have a chance to get out and enjoy some beautiful sunshine.

LeAnn Designs a Pony for Charity

The stars of the TV drama "Boston Legal" are taking a break from the lives of their oversexed, ego-driven characters to channel sunshine and rainbows.

William Shatner, James Spader and Candace Bergen are among the celebrities and artists who've agreed to design "My Little Ponies," the plastic toy that's captivated girly girls since the 1980s.

Pawtucket-based Hasbro Inc. will auction the special ponies for the Give Kids The World Village charity as part of a celebration of the toy's 25th anniversary.

The celebrities and artists were given blank, 18-inch versions of the usual 4-inch-tall ponies to decorate.

Other designers include Grammy-winning singer LeAnn Rimes, 1980s teen idol Deborah Gibson and actor Danny Aiello, known for his roles in "Moonstruck" and "Do the Right Thing."

Visit the Give Kids The World website here.

WIS News 10 - Leann Rimes loves her husband's cooking

LeAnn Rimes credits her husband with her bikini ready body.

She tells First magazine that while she loves to splurge on southern food like fried chicken and mac and cheese, her husband, Dean Sheremet, has helped her make healthier choices.

She says as a former dancer he knows how to bulk up meals with nutritious foods that keep her full for hours.

She says she loves eating baked carrots, brussel sprouts and white onions.

Sheremet also inspires Rimes outside of the kitchen. She says they do yoga together as well as weight train.

She says, "We push each other to be better."

LeAnn Rimes at Golf Tourney!

June 12, 2008 — Vince Gill, LeAnn Rimes and Kellie Pickler are among the top names slated to take part in a benefit golf tournament Monday in Nashville raising money for United Cerebral Palsy of Middle Tennessee.

The 21st annual Music Row Ladies Golf Tournament & Tupperware Party — sponsored by three different organizations and Tim McGraw — is loaded with recording artists, songwriters and Tennessee Titan football players. The event is known for outrageous costumes and not-very-serious golfing, and it ends with a concert and silent auction.

Approximately 250 members of the Nashville music community are expected to take part, including Amy Grant and new singer-songwriter Whitney Duncan. Also aboard are "Stupid Boy" songwriter Deanna Bryant, "If You’re Going Through Hell" composer Dave Berg and "Cleaning This Gun" author Marla Cannon-Goodman, plus Titans Keith Bulluck, Cortland Finnegan and Craig Hentrich.
